More Green More possibilities for the future
A distinctly green project involving ECOLINE in the supply of rigid pre-insulated pipes.
This virtuous programme, bringing together two of the largest companies in the Brescia area, aims to recover the heat that has so far gone to waste and channel it into the city network.
The plant that has been built brings clear environmental benefits: every year it will save 2,340 tonnes of oil equivalent, avoiding atmospheric emissions of 5,609 t/year of CO2, 933 kg/year of CO and 4,405 kg/year of NOx, as well as reducing PM10 and PM2.5 fine particulates.
A redesign of the cooling water circuit serving the industrial processes: heat thus becomes a resource for the district heating network.
ECOLINE is part of this major sustainability project, supplying products and training, ensuring efficiency and quality of the highest order and introducing a new method for laying the pipes connecting to the network, through the application of an innovative DHPlanet methodology: the networks were preheated with steam which, applied in urban ground conditions, made it possible to significantly reduce the duration and the impact of the laying works.
